Culture Shock Presents "iConnect: Communication in a Hip Hop Generation"


On Friday, September 4th at 8:30pm, Culture Shock Los Angeles presents an event to be remembered at The Ford Amphitheater (2580 E. Cahuenga Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90068). Using Hip Hop dance and art, Culture Shock will put on a performance commenting on communication within the digital age. Using Hip Hop genres such as sex, violence and greed the dance troop of over 45 performers reveal the true meaning of the roots of Hip Hop- finding positive expression through artistic creativity. There will also be special performances by the Beat Freaks and Kaba Modern Legacy. Tickets are $20 pre-sale (before Aug. 28th) at The Ford Amphitheater website, $25 full price, $5 children and students. 

Local Hip Hop Artists "Supplyin The Streetz"


Head to The Metaphor Cafe (258 E. 2nd Ave., Escondido, CA 90233) this Saturday, September 5th at 6:30pm to check out "Supplyin The Streetz." This is a place where local and up and coming artists come to exhibit their talents and speak about where they are now and how they got there. Tickets are only $10. Age suitability is teens and up.

California Art Club: Artists Explore Los Angeles


California Art Club and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce team up for an exhibit showing life in the city of Los Angeles and its historic, natural, and man-made landmarks. DJ AM was found dead in his NYC apartment at 5:20 PM (eastern) on Friday. They're already saying it's drugs. Sucks to think that he can survive a plane crash but then lose his life to something like that - not even a year later.
